O nobly-born, the light of that place wherein you are to be born, through the power of karma, will shine most prominently. There will be a dull white light shining from the Deva-world, a dull green light from the Asura-world, a dull yellow light from the Human-world, a dull blue light from theAnimal-world, a dull red light from the Preta-world, and a smoke-coloured light from the Hell-world. At that time, by the power of karma, your own body will take on the colour of the light of the place wherein you are to be born.
O nobly-born, to prevent birth, this is a critical moment: whichever light shines on you now, meditate on the pure illusory form of your tutelary deity, then let the visualization melt away from the extremities, until nothing remains visible, and put yourself in the state of the Clearness and the Voidness and remain in that state for a little while. Again, meditate upon the tutelary deity; again meditate upon the Clear Light: do this alternately. Then allow your own intellect also to melt away gradually, beginning from the extremities.
Abide tranquilly in the uncreated state. Birth will be obstructed and Perfect Enlightenment gained.
